
Jeni Wallace is the founder and co-director of The Hands On Literary Festival and Masquerade Ball, as well as Burlesque Press and the food blog Biscuits & Booze. A graduate of The University of New Orleans Low-Residency MFA and Study Abroad Programs, she worked for many years in study abroad, at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, and also worked as part of the VIP coordinating team for the Ritz Carlton New Orleans. She has extensive experience setting up events, festivals, conferences, and residencies both at home and abroad. Additionally, Jeni and her husband run successful online businesses, and have a particular interest in how the teaching of business writing can boost enrollment and interest in the English major.
She now currently lives and teaches writing and business writing in Tennessee. Jeni won the Faulkner Wisdom Award for Novel-in-Progress, and is currently working on a new novel exploring coastal communities, grief and ghosts, food, and love.
